Validity of Certificates
- Caste and Residential Certificates have indefinite validity.
- Temporary Residential Certificates are valid for one year from the issue date.
- Income Certificates are valid for one year from the issue date.

How to Apply Online
- Visit the RTPS Bihar website.
- For new users, click on Register Yourself to create a Login ID and Password.
- Login using your credentials.
- Click on Apply for Service from the left menu.
- Fill out the application form, upload your photo, and click Save Draft.
- If required, enter your Aadhar number and verify via OTP or upload one of the approved identity proofs.
- Attach necessary documents (Annexures) if needed.
- Review and submit your application.
- Download or print your acknowledgment receipt.
How to Download Your RTPS Certificate
- Open the RTPS Bihar website.
- Click on Download Certificate in the Citizen Section on the homepage.
- Select the service from the dropdown menu (RTPS/Others).
- Enter your Application Reference Number and Applicant Name.
- Click on the Download Certificate button.
Note: Wait 24 hours after application submission before downloading the certificate.
How to Check Application Status
- Go to the RTPS Bihar website.
- Click on Track Application Status in the Citizen Section.
- Choose to track via Application Reference Number or OTP/Application Details.
- Enter your Application Reference Number and select the tracking method (submission date or delivery date).
- Complete the word verification and click Submit.
